About the Job
We are looking for a support educator for the daily activities at Paletten!
At Paletten, there is a wide range of activities such as music, ceramics, textiles, media/photo, hobbies/carpentry, and a studio for drawing/painting.
We are now looking for someone who has the competence to tailor support using pedagogical methods to guide in the various studios.
Together with another support educator, you will be a sounding board in the pedagogical dialogue and will have a guiding role in the work team and the common approach. You will be responsible for developing and implementing pedagogical methods at the unit based on experience and theoretical knowledge when working with participants, leading to increased security, independence, integrity, and participation.
Your role includes the ability to engage others, collaborate, and jointly take responsibility for driving the continued work of quality development within the organization.
As a support educator, you will assist with in-depth knowledge of social documentation and, if necessary, support and guide colleagues in social documentation in Treserva, as well as participate in the development of implementation plans and job descriptions. One of your tasks will be to plan and hold operational meetings in consultation with the unit manager and participate in various networks.

About You
For the position of support educator, a post-secondary specialization in the field of disabilities is required, encompassing at least 200 vocational training points, 120 university credits, or a combination thereof equivalent to at least four semesters of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 university credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities. The education should have relevant credits in social sciences, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other training deemed equivalent by the employer.
The position also requires a passing grade in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1. If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1, you may be offered to take a language test through the test user Educateit.
You need to have at least 2 years of knowledge and experience with autism as well as experience with alternative and augmentative communication (AAC).
You also need to have documented experience in one of the following creative areas: music, ceramics, textiles, media/photo, hobbies/carpentry, or a studio for drawing/painting. It is an advantage if you have experience in several areas.
We are looking for someone who takes responsibility for their tasks and the group's tasks. You see opportunities for change and create situations where new ideas and proposals can develop. You communicate information and ideas clearly both verbally and in writing. You have a good understanding of how individuals absorb knowledge and their different conditions. You plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively.
