We are now looking for a personal assistant for a new team for a man living on a rural farm.

What does this job entail?Do you want to be part of a completely new assistant team and contribute to creating a safe, active, and meaningful everyday life for a wheelchair-bound man? The client has recently been granted personal assistance, and we are now looking for someone who wants to be involved from the start.

The shifts are scheduled for days, evenings, nights (with waiting time), and weekends. The positions are part-time starting in February. In January, there will be an introduction and training period where you will get to know the client, his needs, and the aids used.

The client lives with his wife on a farm, and their 3.5-year-old grandchild often visits. The farm also has chickens, ducks, and indoor cats. He enjoys hockey and loves spending time outdoors in the rural environment. The job includes typical assistant tasks such as personal care, cooking, household chores, support during transfers, and enabling activities in daily life. Aids such as lifts, wheelchairs, and hygiene chairs are available.

The client has spasticity and very limited motor function after a stroke. The client lacks verbal communication, which means you need to be attentive, observant, and skilled at interpreting facial expressions. You need to follow the existing instructions and the routines that will be created.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is engaged, respectful, and attentive. We prefer that you have great patience and the ability to be personal while acting professionally.

The client is looking for someone who:

• Has a driver's license and access to a personal vehicle (as the workplace is located a bit out in the countryside and not reachable by public transport)

• Tolerates pets and birds

• Preferably has experience in care and assistance

• Has good physical ability

• Has very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

Experience and education are meritorious but not required. The greatest emphasis will be placed on personality and personal suitability.

Additional Information

Employment type: As long as the assistance assignment lasts

Extent: Part-time

Working hours: Day 8:30 AM - 6 PM, Evening & night 4:30 PM - 10:30 AM (with waiting time at night).

Start date: Positions begin on 2/2, with training taking place in January.

We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Before a potential employment, you must be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden by showing that you have citizenship within the EU/EES or a valid work permit.
