About the Unit Reception and Adults SoL

We are now looking for a committed and secure social worker for our unit Reception and Adults SoL!

Our unit is divided into two workgroups, Adults SoL, which is responsible for handling cases for adults who need help and support according to the Social Services Act (SoL), and Reception, which is responsible for receiving all new cases to the authority within the urban area.

Currently, there are 5 social workers in the reception and 8 social workers in the investigation group Adults SoL. We are now looking for an additional social worker for our investigation group.

The urban area Hisingen consists of five authority units, of which Reception and Adults SoL is one. The unit is located at Rimmaregatan 6.

Job Responsibilities

The work involves providing information and guidance, assessing conditions for assistance or interventions, and referring to the appropriate caseworker or service. You need broad knowledge of both SoL (Social Services Act) and LSS (Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). You will encounter individuals with disabilities, which requires good treatment, respect, and understanding of different life situations.

It is important that you enjoy close collaboration in a group and have a flexible approach as days can change quickly and require reprioritization. We work solution-focused and with a holistic perspective to meet the individual's needs. The pace can be high, but you always have support from colleagues and the lead social worker for methodological support and advice.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker or has another higher education that the employer deems equivalent. You are well acquainted with case handling according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS).

If you have experience in authority exercise with investigations, assessments, and execution of decisions, it is meritorious. Experience with documentation in the operational systems IBIC/ Treserva/ SAMSA is also desirable.

In your professional role, you show respect and consideration for those you meet. You have an open and positive attitude, with the user's/client's needs as the starting point for your actions. You take responsibility for your and the common tasks and take your duties seriously. At the same time, you are easy to collaborate with.

You plan activities and projects in good time, use time effectively, and work systematically, organized, methodically, and ensure that the work is completed. At the same time, you thrive in an environment where no day is the same and where the pace can vary; with the ability to balance different demands, you remain calm in difficult situations.
