Do you want to help create a meaningful everyday life for people with disabilities? We are now looking for a dedicated support pedagogue for our group home Kilagården in Töreboda municipality.

Today, there are over 200 employees within LSS, social psychiatry, and personal assistance in Töreboda Municipality. Together, employees create and develop the operations to provide the best support and service to people with disabilities.

In the team of the operation, support assistants, support pedagogues, and unit managers work together. Additional professionals in the team include occupational therapists, nurses, and physiotherapists.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Support Pedagogue, you participate in the daily work and contribute your in-depth pedagogical competence to the individual's daily life. The interventions/support are based on the individual's specific needs to promote their development, stimulation, and participation. You plan and perform tasks that involve activities, pedagogical structure, personal care, documentation, and the establishment of implementation plans.

In your role, you support, plan, guide, and inspire your colleagues in the pedagogical work and develop the work in the operation in collaboration with colleagues and the unit manager. You support the individual in their daily life by creating a predictable, manageable, and understandable existence and provide professional support by empowering the individual in their daily life and creating conditions for development and an independent life. This requires independence and an understanding of the employees' need for development regarding knowledge and skills.

The position offers a developing and challenging job with great responsibility to independently drive processes, methodology, and issues forward, with the support of the unit manager and other support pedagogues in the network. You will primarily be placed in the group home. In the role of support pedagogue, it may also be relevant to work in other units in various pedagogical assignments when needed.

You are a support for your colleagues in the work with social documentation, implementation plans, and other documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

We at Kilagården are now looking for a warm and dedicated support pedagogue who has a genuine interest in working with people with various types of disabilities. You should have 200 vocational college credits or at least 60 university credits in a relevant educational field for the unit. Experience working in LSS operations is a requirement.

You are empathetic, attentive, and have good pedagogical and reflective abilities. You are structured, responsible, and have a good ability to plan. You should have good collaboration skills and enjoy working in a team while taking responsibility for your tasks and the common tasks with the users' best interests in focus. As a support pedagogue, you should apply an ethical approach that promotes the individual's self-determination, integrity, and participation.

Knowledge of AAC, alternative and augmentative communication, cognitive aids, and welfare technology is an advantage.

A driving license (B) is required, as well as good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Working hours include days, evenings, sleeping on-call, and weekends.

The work is based on IBIC, and documentation is done in LifeCare.
