About the organization
The unit against violence in close relationships is one of six units within the department for children and youth.
The unit consists of Kriscentrum, which is a counseling reception for victims of violence, both children, young people, and adults, as well as perpetrators. Furthermore, Barnahus Fyrbodal/Uddevalla is one of three branches in Fyrbodal that collaborates with the police, prosecutors, child and adolescent psychiatry, and social services when there is suspicion that children may be victims of crime. Vingen is a sheltered accommodation for women and children who have experienced violence, and there are social workers for adult violence in close relationships.
One of our counselors has chosen to leave their position to work in another area, which is why we are now looking for a new colleague. The unit consists of a total of 11 employees and is led by a close-to-operation unit manager.
A full-time position for a social worker for authority exercise in close violence and Kriscentrum will also be filled shortly.
Job responsibilities
Your tasks are to conduct support conversations with adults and children who have experienced violence, as well as with perpetrators. In addition, you will collaborate with both internal and external parties who may also meet children in other processes, such as investigations of children and youth, social workers for adult violence in close relationships, youth clinics, schools, etc.
We aim to be an easily accessible social service according to current legislation, which means, among other things, being visible in the community and spreading knowledge about violence in close relationships to all age groups. This may involve collaborating with preschools, schools, health centers, etc., regarding efforts to stop the violence. We also hold training/seminars both internally and externally when requested.
On certain days and times of the week, according to a rotating schedule, you will also take calls on Kriscentrum's support phone.
You will be one of 4.5 counselors at Kriscentrum.
Qualifications
You should have a relevant university degree such as a social worker or another education that the employer assesses as equivalent. It is a requirement that you have knowledge of violence in close relationships and experience working with the target group. It is an advantage if you have previously worked as a counselor and have other further education in the area of violence in close relationships.
The work requires that you are secure in your person, have good self-awareness, and possess a large portion of humility. You can work independently and professionally in collaboration and have a clear child perspective in your work. You should have a good service orientation and caring approach in your interactions. You should be able to express yourself well both verbally and in writing.

Language assessment is conducted for certain professional groups before employment can be considered.
Criminal record checks are conducted for all employment within the social services.
For employment within HVB operations, an extract from the HVB home is requested.
For employment in services aimed at children with disabilities, extracts for children with disabilities and verification of own information are requested.
For other employment within social services, an extract for verification of own information is requested.
