About the Job

In the role of a housing supporter, you will provide support, service, and care to adults with mental, intellectual, and neuropsychological disabilities.

The support is provided in all areas of life and usually takes place in the individual's home.

The assignment aims to motivate and strengthen each person's own resources. The support is based on implementation plans developed together with the users.

Your work will involve assisting our users with all household tasks, liaising with authorities, and guiding them to local resources while supporting them in having a meaningful leisure time or employment.

Your daily work will include collaboration with colleagues within the unit and with important contacts outside the home, social documentation, and delegated healthcare interventions. The job includes solitary work, providing support in the users' homes.

You will receive support from method supervisors and through team meetings.

The position is scheduled for daytime hours, weekdays between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM.

About You

We are looking for someone with a degree from the Health and Care program, support assistant training, or the Child and Leisure program with a focus on social or educational work. The educational requirement is also met if you have a post-secondary specialization in the disability field comprising at least 200 YH points, 120 higher education credits, or a combination that corresponds to at least four semesters of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience working with support and service for people with disabilities. The education should include relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.

All social documentation is done digitally, so you need to have good computer skills and be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written.

If you also have experience with any of the following methods: AAC (alternative and augmentative communication), LAB (low-arousal approach), Motivational interviewing, or ESL (An Independent Life) and Clarifying pedagogy, IBIC (Individual Needs in Focus), this will be an advantage.

It is also meritorious if you have previous experience working in disability support and if you have a B driver's license.
