About the Job

We are now looking for a social worker for Children and Youth in the Social Administration Nordost.

As a social worker in Children and Youth 4, you will be part of a team of 16 social workers, three senior social workers, and a unit manager. You will handle cases for the target group aged 0-18 years according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU). The unit is one of seven other children and youth units.

For us, it is important to perform qualitative social work, and we therefore work with service measurements and the phase system, which provides conditions for a reasonable workload and recovery. This, combined with regular supervision and training, gives us good conditions to perform our work with good results for those we serve. The Social Administration Nordost is currently involved in several work time innovations. Since November 2024, the unit has been part of the research project 4 days week, which is ongoing and will continue into 2026. The study is based on a four-day work week.

We work with several evidence-based methods such as Signs of Safety, EARL, SAVRY, and ERASOR. Signs of Safety aims, among other things, to create conditions for a transparent handling process where the family is involved throughout the process with us. The other methods aim to better identify children and young people in need of support based on, among other things, norm-breaking behavior. Training is provided continuously and is linked to our competence development plan.

We are keen that you, who come to us, receive an introduction that, regardless of your time in the profession, gives you the conditions to perform your work in accordance with current legislation, routines, and guidelines at the workplace. The introduction is carried out by an introduction coordinator in the administration in collaboration with the senior social worker and unit manager.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work, as this is a requirement for the position. Experience in public authority work, especially within the area of Children and Youth, is an advantage. Since we work according to the Signs of Safety method, training and knowledge in this method is also advantageous. It is also considered an advantage if you have a B driver's license.

We are looking for someone who takes responsibility for their own and the shared tasks with the best interests of the organization/clients in focus. Furthermore, you take your tasks seriously, are keen to complete what you have started, and ensure that the work is done correctly. You are communicative and have the ability to share information and ideas, both verbally and in writing, and can express the core of an argument clearly and effectively. Additionally, you adapt your communication to the recipient, target group, and situation.

In our profession, meeting people is important, and this is evident in how you show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. As a social worker, you start from everyone's equal value and create a good atmosphere in meetings, maintaining an open and positive attitude with the client's needs as the basis for your actions. Much of our work is based on documentation, and since the position involves deadlines, you are also structured. You set clear goals and plan activities and projects in good time. Furthermore, you use your time efficiently and work systematically, organized, and methodically, ensuring that the work is completed and following up on the results.

Our work is largely based on collaboration, and this means that we who work in the unit are cooperative. As a social worker, you have the ability to work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals. By being interested and creating understanding for others, you contribute to a respectful work climate. You understand the common mission, act accordingly, and contribute to the whole.

Selection and interviews are ongoing, so apply today!
