Kooperativet Hand i Hand is a member-driven organization established in 1995 for individuals entitled to assistance. Our members are located in Skåne, Halland, southern Småland, Västra Götaland, Stockholm, and Jämtland. We have offices in Halmstad, Hässleholm, and Malmö. We support our members with everything from applying for hours with the Social Insurance Agency/municipality to personnel issues regarding personal assistants. We believe that the work of a personal assistant is one of the most important jobs there is, as it provides an opportunity for another person to live their life like everyone else.

We are now looking for a personal assistant for a woman in her 30s living in Falkenberg.

The woman has autism and an intellectual disability (ID) and needs help and support in her daily life through motivating interventions. She lives in her own apartment with assistance around the clock (5.5 hours on-call at night). As an assistant, you will be there to support her with personal care, meals, and various activities. She enjoys going to the swimming pool, visiting the library, cycling, and dining out. As an assistant, you are responsible for planning the day based on her needs and interests.

We are looking for someone with experience in personal assistance or similar work. Knowledge and experience working with individuals with autism and low-arousal approaches are advantageous. You should be a positive person, self-assured, and genuinely interested in working with people. The woman prefers female applicants due to the nature of the work. We would like you to be around her age or older. Due to sensitivity to scents, you must be able to refrain from smoking and strong odors during working hours. Since you will be driving her car in the job, a driver's license is required.

The position is approximately 70% with the possibility of extra shifts beyond the regular schedule. The working hours are mostly 24-hour shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:00 AM, but there are also occasional shorter day shifts of about 5 hours related to activities requiring double assistance. You will work 1-2 shifts per week on a rolling schedule.
