The Role of Support Assistant with Us

When you work at Apotekarängen Group Home, you become part of a team whose daily mission is to provide support in everyday life such as motivational conversations, assistance with practical tasks, or various leisure activities inside and outside the home. You contribute to the feeling of safety and participation through a responsive, smooth, and professional approach. Your work includes being a contact person and establishing individual implementation plans as well as maintaining social documentation. We work based on a low-arousal approach, alternative communication channels (AAC), and clarifying pedagogy.

Your Profile

As a person, you are accommodating in your interactions and attentive to your surroundings. You create new contacts as well as maintain your current work relationships. You take responsibility and drive your work forward, delivering results and prioritizing your tasks effectively. You see opportunities in changes, take your own initiatives, and come up with new approaches to work-related issues. You express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, as this is required in daily work. Personal suitability will be highly valued.

We are looking for someone who has:

• an education relevant to the target group
• work experience with alternative and augmentative communication (AAC)
• work experience with low-arousal approaches
• work experience from the target group

It is advantageous if you have:

• experience with documentation and methodological work
• experience with the Medvind system
• experience using patient lifts, feeding tubes, catheter flushing, and PEP, Bilevel
• are a trained nursing assistant

We are centrally located at Signeshus within walking distance to the station and Kungsmässan, and there are also bus connections right outside.

At Apotekarängen, we continuously develop our work together with the tenants to create a wonderful community and a home for all residents. We constantly work to maintain the abilities that the tenants have and highly value their own opinions. Apotekarängen has eight apartments for individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, or autism-like conditions. The work involves providing our tenants with support in all aspects of daily life.

Our Offer and Additional Information

We offer permanent full-time positions starting by agreement. You will work days, evenings, and every other weekend.

Within the Department of Individual & Family Care, all employees within Housing with Special Services and Home Support are employed full-time but have the opportunity to reduce their desired employment level based on the needs of the organization.
