Vidhögeskolan is a F-9 school with approximately 570 students and 85 staff members. The school is located in the northern part of the municipality, right in the community of Veddige with good communication links to Varberg and surrounding municipalities.

Our catchment area covers a large geographical area and we receive students from Deromeskolan in grade 4. All classes have home classrooms with associated group rooms, and there are well-equipped special rooms for practical/aesthetic subjects. We also have Flex activities at the school. There are also good opportunities within the subject of sports as we have access to various sports halls and are close to an ice rink as well as an outdoor environment that promotes movement.

At our school, we believe that safety and well-being are important for both students and staff, and the students have access to the student health staff every day of the week. Development work that has been prioritized and is ongoing at the school includes health and well-being as well as leadership and stimulation. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a school social worker, you are part of the school's student health team and contribute with your expertise.

The school social worker's tasks include conducting social assessments and social evaluations as needed. You are responsible for ensuring that the school's plan against bullying is a living document that is put into practice and supports teachers with documentation and follow-ups.

You work with values-related issues in student groups and support working teams in this. You are responsible for following up on the school's attendance work and participating in investigations regarding school absenteeism.

We are looking for someone who is responsible and has the ability to work in a structured and independent manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

Social worker with experience working as a school social worker.
