Job Responsibilities

As a rehabilitation assistant, you will be an important part of our team and work closely with physiotherapists and occupational therapists.

You will perform interventions for and with the patient under the delegation of licensed personnel. This may include:

• Patient work in a team with a physiotherapist and occupational therapist.
• Supporting patients in the ward to carry out training programs, mobility training, and to try out assistive devices.
• Participation in certain group training.
• Handling practical tasks such as ordering materials, maintaining the assistive device storage and office supplies, and ordering clothing.

About the Workplace

At the Rehabilitation Clinic in Halland, there are currently about 280 employees. Here you will find occupational therapists, dietitians, social workers, speech therapists, psychologists, physiotherapists, and nursing assistants. All professions work in close collaboration with all clinics at Halland Hospital that conduct patient activities.

In occupational therapy and physiotherapy at Halmstad Hospital, we currently have about thirty employees, of which two are rehabilitation assistants, eight occupational therapists, eighteen physiotherapists, and one department manager.

The majority of our operations involve interventions within inpatient care in the ward, but there is also outpatient care in various areas.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with at least five years of work experience in a relevant field. You are trained as a nursing assistant, activity pedagogue, rehabilitation assistant, or have another education that the employer deems equivalent. It is an advantage if you have experience or education in rehabilitation.

You have a strong interest and commitment to rehabilitation and enjoy taking your own initiatives. We value your ability to work independently, be flexible, and collaborate with both patients and colleagues. Furthermore, we expect you to have a good sense of service and work with a clear patient focus. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
