The Social Services Department is responsible for providing support, care, and assistance to people at different stages of life. We work based on individual needs and offer services in accordance with applicable legislation, including the Social Services Act (SoL), the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS), and the Health and Medical Services Act.

This can involve providing the elderly with a safe and meaningful everyday life, supporting people with disabilities, or being there for children, youth, and adults in vulnerable life situations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a social worker who will work with investigations and follow-ups of interventions according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Care of Abusers in Certain Cases (LVM). The role of a social worker with us means that you will investigate needs and make decisions about assistance and interventions for individuals with harmful use, dependency, and co-occurring disorders.

In addition to exercising authority, collaboration both internally and externally is an important part of the work. You will work closely with clients and service providers and help design individual solutions for those with the greatest needs. The workgroup consists of five social workers focused on harmful use and dependency, as well as four social workers focused on social psychiatry, two housing coordinators, a development leader, and a unit manager. Many of the employees have extensive experience in the profession, which means you will receive an introduction and an opportunity to grow into the job.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or equivalent education deemed suitable by the employer. We prefer that you have previous experience in exercising authority. Experience with the target group of individuals with harmful use, dependency, the ASI investigation method, and knowledge of the Lifecare operational system are meritorious. An important quality is your ability to collaborate and build good relationships both internally and with external actors.

You are curious, solution-oriented, and have a desire to contribute to the group's development work. You should have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing. You should have good knowledge of applicable legislation and experience in investigative work. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability as the work requires high demands on collaboration skills, social competence, and flexibility.
