About the Job

As a social worker/psychologist at the Youth Center, you will primarily work with individual conversations, but couples and parental conversations may also occur. We meet young people both physically at the center and digitally via video or chat. Our working method is based on a salutogenic holistic perspective to promote physical, mental, sexual, and reproductive health.

You will work independently with the youth's needs in focus and offer supportive conversations, as well as more treatment-oriented interventions for mild mental health issues. Common themes include stress, anxiety, relationships, self-esteem, identity, and sexuality. Documentation and record-keeping are part of the assignment.

An important part of the job is also our outreach work with schools and other actors that meet young people. Therefore, you need to feel comfortable meeting groups and holding dialogues in various contexts.

About the Workplace

The Youth Center in Halland serves young people aged 13–23 and works with physical, mental, sexual, and reproductive health. We are HBTQI-certified and have a norm-critical approach where respect and treatment are central. Our team consists of midwives, doctors, nursing assistants, and conversation therapists working closely together.

At the center in Kungsbacka, we are a dedicated team with broad expertise that supports each other and shares knowledge. We value collaboration, development, and an open climate.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Is an educated social worker, preferably with step-1 competence or is a licensed psychologist.
• Has experience and a genuine interest in working with young people.
• Is solution-oriented, proactive, and enjoys driving their own processes.
• Has the ability and willingness to collaborate in a team.
• Has a reflective and norm-critical approach.
• Has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good computer skills.
