Varberg Youth Home is a small home for boys aged 15-20. We work closely with the youth in a small, cohesive team. We address fundamental psychosocial issues, often involving emerging substance abuse/criminality. For us, the ability to build relationships is crucial for change, and this requires experience and fearlessness in understanding and empathizing with the youths' situations.
We are now looking for someone with at least two years of post-secondary education in social work, who can provide a police record extract and who can serve as a positive adult role model for our youths.
For us, commitment to the individual and the ability to communicate are essential.
The job includes activating the youths, doing things together, and creating supportive relationships.
