Role as a Substitute Teacher in Preschool

As a substitute in preschool, you play an important role in creating a safe and educational environment for children.

You work together with regular staff and cover for them as needed, which means you need to quickly familiarize yourself with the operations and contribute with structure, engagement, and presence.

You are involved in the educational work and support the children in their daily lives. This may involve helping during meals, gatherings, play, and learning activities. You collaborate with colleagues and assist them based on their needs and wishes. The work takes place both indoors and outdoors, which means you need to dress according to the weather. You will work at various preschools around the municipality, which requires flexibility and adaptability. Working hours are scheduled during weekdays.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who:

• is at least 18 years old
• has a valid passport/national ID or work permit
• has passing grades equivalent to Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language corresponding to upper secondary B1 level
• can work during weekdays

It is an advantage if you have:

• education and/or experience working with children in preschool/school or leisure activities
• a B driver's license and access to a car

About Vikariecenter

Vikariecenter provides substitutes to cover vacancies that arise when regular staff are temporarily absent, for example, due to illness or childcare. Vikariecenter is responsible for the recruitment and staffing of substitutes in preschool, personal assistance, daily activities, home healthcare, home care, nursing and care homes, housing with special services, and meals.

ID Check

During recruitment, we need to ensure the identity of the applicant. Valid ID documents are a Swedish passport or ID card issued by the police. If you cannot present this, we need to see a valid work permit.
