Lindbergs School is a rural school located north of Varberg, about a 15-minute drive from the center. Here, students have the opportunity to spend their primary school years from preschool class to grade 9 in a peaceful environment characterized by safety.

The school has about 400 students, and at the after-school care, 150 students start and finish their school day. The after-school care has started a process this spring to create natural meetings across grade boundaries where students can support each other in various learning activities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for two teachers in after-school care with pedagogical responsibility and the drive and commitment to work with colleagues to advance the development work in after-school care and to help organize for the future.

You will work as a teacher in after-school care, and during the school day, part of your pedagogical assignment will involve planning and implementing various types of break activities and, to some extent, serving as a resource person in the classroom.

Motivating and inspiring students is your greatest driving force. Together with your colleagues, you will shape a relational leadership where the quality of teaching is the focus. We create the best possible meeting for learning.

As a teacher in after-school care with us in Varberg Municipality, you have a central role in creating a safe, developing, and motivating environment for students. By planning, implementing, and following up on your varied teaching, you give students the opportunity to develop both socially and academically. You work to strengthen their creativity, curiosity, and self-esteem through play, creativity, and movement.

Together with your colleagues, you will plan and follow up on the after-school care activities based on your choices of pedagogical and didactic strategies and methods, adapted to the students' needs and conditions. You meet each student in their knowledge progression and contribute to developing learning environments that encourage students' learning, participation, and influence.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a teaching license with qualifications for teaching in after-school care. With a holistic view of learning and teaching, you see the possibilities in supporting students' development throughout the school day and create a red thread between school and after-school care.

  • You are curious or have experience leading colleagues in learning.
  • You have the ability and willingness to work systematically in learning and processes.
  • You are curious about shifts in both students', colleagues', and your own learning.
  • You have the ability to plan and evaluate teaching in after-school care.

As a teacher in after-school care, you are engaged and have a formative approach with the ability to create motivating and activating teaching. Your teaching is based on proven experience and scientific grounding with an exploratory approach.

You thrive in collaboration with colleagues and actively contribute to developing the organization by planning and following up on teaching together. You have a good structure in your work and can adapt teaching based on students' needs and the school's goals. Together, we are responsible for creating a sustainable work environment where both students and staff feel good, can grow, and develop.

It is an advantage to have a driver's license and access to a car as opening after-school care may be included in the basic schedule.

Varberg Municipality has a political decision regarding the desired employment rate. This means that the employee has the right to work full-time or desired part-time.
