LBS Creative High School in Halmstad was established in 2004 and offers college preparatory programs in the Technology Program and the Aesthetic Program with the following specializations: AI and web development, Digital design, Game graphics, and Game development. The school has about 110 students and 12 staff members. We are now looking for a teaching assistant for our operations.

Your mission

We are now offering a position as a teaching assistant at approximately 60% for working with a high school student in the Technology Program.

The mission involves providing continuous, individualized, and predictable support throughout the school day and work process. You will work closely with the student to create structure, security, and conditions for learning, focusing on planning, initiation, implementation, and completion of schoolwork.

You will collaborate closely with the teaching teacher, special educator, and school management, and be an important part of creating a functioning and sustainable study situation for the student. The mission is long-term and requires presence, endurance, and good relational skills.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who has experience working as a teaching assistant, resource educator, or similar supportive role, or has other relevant pedagogical or social competencies.

You are a person who:

• is calm, secure, and clear in your interactions
• has a good ability to create structure, predictability, and routines
• is relationship-building, attentive, and unpretentious
• can work persistently and consistently with a student over time
• is pedagogical in your way of explaining, concretizing, and supporting step by step
• finds it easy to collaborate and communicate with teachers, student health, and school management

You need to understand that the student wants to succeed and has high attendance, but that the work process requires extensive and individualized support. Experience working with students with neuropsychiatric disabilities is an advantage.

Other

The position is a fixed-term employment of about 60%. Start date as soon as possible.
