Therapist for Falkenberg Municipality's Preventive Unit

Do you want to be part of Falkenberg Municipality's new Preventive Unit and work early on to support children, young people, and families in change? Then this may be the position for you. The unit currently consists of Field workers, SSPF coordinators, child and family counselors at TSI (Early Coordinated Efforts collaborating with schools), and therapists. A total of about 20 people.

We are now looking for an additional therapist as the unit expands and we have a mandate to establish another Family Center where collaboration and early interventions are central. Part of the position is located at the family center, where you work closely with other professionals to provide support to children and parents at an early stage.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Preventive Unit was established in the latter part of 2025 and works with program activities, guiding, supportive, and advisory interventions. Early preventive work where we are available for children, young people (0-21 years), and their parents. We offer interventions for both individuals and families. Work takes place in our premises, in families' homes, in schools, or in collaboration with other professionals, always based on the family's needs.

Our mission is to support families in their change efforts based on their own resources. We work to strengthen protective factors and reduce risk factors. You will have close collaboration with internal and external partners.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in social work or another higher education that the employer deems equivalent
• Preferred: systemic training, COS, training in parenting support programs.
• Preferred: experience working with children and young people, family therapy, experience from various areas of social work.

We place great importance on personal suitability. You are secure and stable, have an easy time building good relationships, and enjoy working both independently and in collaboration with others. You are resourceful, flexible, and express yourself well in both speech and writing. A driving license (B) is required.
