Kooperativet Hand i Hand is a member-driven organization founded in 1995 for individuals entitled to assistance. Our members are located in Skåne, Halland, southern Småland, Västra Götaland, Stockholm, and Jämtland. We have offices in Halmstad, Hässleholm, and Malmö. We support our members with everything from applying for hours with Försäkringskassan/the municipality to personnel issues concerning personal assistants. We believe that the work of a personal assistant is one of the most important jobs there is, as it provides an opportunity for another person to live their life like everyone else.

We are now looking for personal assistants for a 25-year-old male living in Halmstad. He has epilepsy and an intellectual disability and requires assistance around the clock. He spends most of his time at home, and you will assist him in his daily life as well as with household chores. Since there is double assistance for a few hours each day, you should be comfortable working both in a group and alone.

The work shifts are scheduled during the day, evening, and weekends. We are looking for someone who wants to work as a summer substitute during weeks 27-30, with the possibility of more shifts.

You enjoy having a job where personal maturity, responsibility, and flexibility are valued. You should feel comfortable working closely with relatives as the person entitled to assistance lives with their family.

Knowledge of epilepsy is an advantage, but not a requirement, as you will receive extensive on-the-job training.
