Responsibilities and Tasks

We have a camp operation from June 14 to July 4 in Magnarp by Skälderviken in Ängelholm municipality. As an activity leader at our camp, you will start working with introduction days on June 11-12.

HSB Skåne organizes a classic summer camp in Magnarp by Skälderviken in Ängelholm municipality every summer, where the sea, community, and joy are at the center. During three summer weeks, children aged 9–12 have the opportunity to experience summer at its best.

The camp is characterized by play, movement, nature experiences, and secure relationships. For many children, this is the highlight of summer – swimming in the sea, fishing for crabs, playing, going on excursions, sleeping in bunk beds, and making new friends. As an activity leader, you help create memories and experiences that can stay with the children long after summer.

We are looking for someone who wants a responsible and enriching summer job where you make a real difference for children. As an activity leader, you will be part of a team with other leaders. Together, you will be responsible for the children's entire stay at the camp and create a safe, fun, and meaningful everyday life.

In the role of activity leader, you will work closely with the children throughout the day – during activities, meals, swimming, evening activities, and rest. The team plans and implements both larger and smaller activities, joint theme days, hiking in the woods, crab fishing, swimming in the sea, games, ball games, and various creative activities. You will lead, inspire, and adapt the activities so that all children can feel included based on their abilities.

The work also involves collaborating on structure, routines, and responsibilities, as well as cleaning and maintenance of common areas. As an activity leader, you are an important adult role model who, with commitment, security, and joy, contributes to the children having an unforgettable summer experience.

Qualifications

We prefer that you have documented experience working with children in groups within associations, childcare, or similar. You must be at least 18 years old to work with us, and it is an advantage if you have a valid B driver's license.

Personal Qualities

As a person, you are responsible with a good ability to collaborate and communicate with both children and colleagues. You have a pedagogical approach and contribute energy, warmth, and a positive attitude to the group. Most importantly, you have a genuine commitment to the well-being of children and young people.

Conditions

Staff will start with introduction and training on Thursday and Friday in week 24. The camp operation is divided into three periods and runs during weeks 25–27. Work is done according to a schedule with 45 hours of work per week and on-call duty at some times. Accommodation on-site is included for those who wish.

The position requires you to have an approved extract from the police criminal record, working with children and young people. If you proceed in the recruitment process, we will also call at least two references. Employment interviews and filling of positions will occur continuously during the application period.

As an activity leader at HSB Skåne, you will be offered a meaningful, developing, and fun summer job where you gain valuable experience in leadership, collaboration, and responsibility – and the opportunity to help create an unforgettable summer for the children.
