The Rescue Service Skåne Nordwest consists of approximately 350 employees (full-time and RIB) distributed across 10 fire stations in Helsingborg, Bjuv, Ängelholm, Örkelljunga, and Båstad.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Rescue Service Skåne Nordwest is looking for firefighters for summer vacancies in 2026 for our full-time stations in Ängelholm and Helsingborg, with the possibility of hourly employment or temporary employment after the summer. A full-time firefighter in operational emergency service primarily works on preparing through training, exercises, other skills development, and conducting rescue operations during fires and accidents. Additionally, they work on preventive fire protection towards the community and citizens through information, education, and outreach activities both before and after an incident occurs.

QUALIFICATIONS

MSB's SMO education at least completed term three by June 2026 with approved LIA, 15 weeks of firefighter training at SRV's school or RIB with at least two years of experience.

Treadmill test: 4.5 km/h (see list of test sites via MSB's website) Certificate to be attached to the application, max six months old.

Swimming ability: Gold badge (Swedish Lifesaving Society) Certificate to be attached to the application, max 12 months old.

Driver's license B. C-qualification is an advantage. Copy of driver's license to be attached to the application.

A complete application must include all requested certificates.

Personal qualities:

As a firefighter at RSNV, you should have an open personality, good social skills, an interest in working with people, the ability to work in a team, initiative, a desire to learn and develop, as well as practical skills. You must also have good physical fitness and the ability to assess and make decisions in various situations. You must also be able to work at heights and not have a tendency towards claustrophobia.

Swimming and diving test 18/3-26

Those selected for testing will be called on one of the days 10/3 or 11/3, after screening, a maximum of 16 applicants will be called for the swimming and diving test.

There are no alternative test days.
