Summer Job as a Lifeguard at the Recreation Administration

Are you looking for a summer job and available between June 1 and August 31? Then you have the chance to work as a lifeguard at the Recreation Administration!

Job Responsibilities

As a lifeguard, you will provide service to our visitors, staff the reception, monitor safety, and ensure that the swimming facilities are clean and in good condition. Organizing various activities such as water aerobics and sauna evenings may also be part of your duties.

We offer you a varied and stimulating job where you will be involved in a department and workplace that focuses on positive issues such as health promotion and meaningful leisure time.

The positions are available at Hylliebadet and Oxievångsbadet or one of our outdoor pools; Rosengårdsbadet or Lindängsbadet.

The positions include inconvenient working hours such as evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

We value a positive and engaged attitude and would like you to apply with a strong interest in the above job responsibilities.

To be considered for the positions, you need to be at least 18 years old. You must be a competent swimmer and will therefore need to complete a swimming test if you progress in the recruitment process. It is advantageous if you have experience working in a swimming environment, have training in CPR, lifeguarding, or other health-related education. We also view positively if you have worked in a service profession and have experience working with children and youth. If you have experience leading activity-related programs such as water aerobics, sauna sessions, and swimming lessons, we consider this an asset. Experience in cleaning services is also a plus.

One of your most important tasks with us is to ensure that all guests enjoy their time and receive the assistance they need. Therefore, it is important that you are attentive, communicative, and passionate about providing good service. You must have a good ability to express yourself in spoken and written Swedish, and additional language skills are a plus.

Swimming and Recreation Unit

The Recreation Administration's swimming and recreation unit operates five pools - Hylliebadet, Rosengårdsbadet, Simhallsbadet, Oxievångsbadet, and Lindängsbadet. The ambition is for the pools to collectively offer the more than 800,000 Malmö residents who visit us annually a variety of activities and events. The hallmark of the employees working at the pools is the willingness and drive to create, develop, and realize an operation focused on the residents of Malmö.
