At our two outdoor swimming pools – the outdoor pool in Svedala and Bara badsjö – we welcome children and young people to a summer swimming school filled with joy, development, and water safety. Here you will have the chance to contribute to memorable summer moments and make a difference in the children's safety in the water.

Mission

We are looking for swimming instructors who can plan, lead, and conduct swimming lessons for children aged 5 and up. Our goal is for all children to have a positive experience of swimming and feel safe in and around water. As a swimming instructor, you are also an important contact person for guardians and answer common questions about the swimming school's structure.

Your responsibilities include:

• Planning, leading, and conducting swimming lessons.
• Handling certain administrative tasks related to the operations.
• Conducting activities that strengthen children's swimming skills at different levels.
• Structuring the operations with a focus on group division, level adaptation, and contact with children and guardians.
• Organizing and assessing badge taking.

Mandatory training days for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and work routines are included in the position and will take place on May 25 and 26.

Qualifications

Working as a swimming instructor means meeting children of different ages and with varying experiences of water. Therefore, we are looking for someone who can create safety, clarity, and joy in the teaching – both for the children and their guardians. As a swimming instructor, you play a central role in strengthening children's swimming skills.

Requirements:

• Qualified swimming instructor or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You should be able to provide a current extract from the criminal record for schools and childcare upon potential employment. Meritorious:

• Previous experience in planning, leading, and conducting swimming lessons.
• Ability to create safety and clear structure in groups with children at different levels.
• Good communication skills and confidence in contact with guardians.
• Ability to work under stress, independently, and with a solution-focused approach.

Working hours/duration

Employment from June 15 to August 14 with scheduled working hours Monday to Friday.
