Mission

As a firefighter RiB (Rescue Man on Standby), you primarily work with rescue operations during accidents. This can involve many different types of interventions, such as emergency medical care, extinguishing fires, and rescue operations at traffic accidents. Regular drills and physical training are also part of the ordinary tasks.

Being a firefighter RiB is an exciting, rewarding, and versatile job. You will come into contact with people in various situations, work together with colleagues as a team, and get a lot of physical activity. Therefore, you must be good at handling people and enjoy collaborating. When the alarm goes off, it is crucial to react quickly and focus entirely on your task. Additionally, the job places physical demands on you, which means you need to have good fitness.

Qualifications

As a part-time firefighter, it is important that you can respond quickly to an emergency. Therefore, you need to have your residence and your regular workplace in Svedala so that you can reach the fire station and be ready for deployment within five minutes. It is also important that your employer gives their consent for you to leave your regular job when an alarm comes in.

Previous training and experience in rescue, accident prevention, or medical care are advantageous, but prior knowledge is not necessary to be considered for the position. We will train you to become a part-time firefighter after hiring!

A B driver's license is required, and a C driver's license is an advantage.

You need to have the physical ability to meet the requirements for carrying out our tasks according to the Work Environment Authority, for example, for smoke diving.

You must be able to swim, which you should be able to prove with a certificate.

The position involves security classification, which means that applicants must be available for testing. The employer reserves the right to test applicants for both physical and mental stability.

Working hours/duration

Part-time, with standby at home every fourth week. Some planned working hours, mainly evenings.

Salary

Compensation is according to the applicable RiB agreement.
