Summer Job as a Lifeguard in Kristianstad

This summer, we need skilled employees for Kristianstad's swimming facilities and the municipality's outdoor swimming pools in Vä, Arkelstorp, Tollarp, Degeberga, and Åhus.

The goal of Kristianstad's swimming facilities is to always be at the forefront of developing swimming operations. We want to offer our customers a swimming facility with high quality and safety, and we see our staff as our most important resource. We believe in an open work environment where creative ideas are welcome and a strong sense of responsibility is encouraged.

We look forward to your application!

Your Role with Us

We offer a varied job where you, together with your colleagues, have great freedom to make the swimming experience for our guests the best possible. Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for safety and cleanliness at the pool. You are engaged and creative, coming up with and leading activities for our visitors. You always ensure that our guests receive the best service and that the pool is safe and clean.

Who Are We Looking For?

You need to be a competent swimmer and attach proof of your swimming ability when you apply. Competence in swimming means that you should be able to fall into the water, get your head under the surface, and after coming back up, swim 200 meters in deep water, of which 50 meters on your back. You should also be able to retrieve a dummy from a pool that is 3.80 meters deep. The work as a lifeguard may involve heavy lifting, so you need to have good physical fitness.

If you have training and/or work experience as a swimming instructor, it is an advantage, as well as training/work experience in swimming, service, or working with children and youth. You need to be able to work with other people, which means you are a humble person, good at listening, and able to show empathy and respect.

When you are offered employment, a criminal record extract must be presented before employment according to the provisions of the law (2013:852) on background checks for work that involves direct and regular contact with children.
