Summer Job at Öresund Funkis

Do you have a strong interest in wellness and service? Do you want to work to ensure that all Malmö residents have the opportunity for a meaningful leisure time and are available from mid-May to September 2? Then we have the summer job for you! We are currently looking for summer substitutes for our operation Öresund Funkis.

Job Responsibilities

At Öresund Funkis, you will work to provide good service to the visitors of the facility. You will staff our café, clean the premises to keep them tidy and fresh, and plan and conduct activities for our visitors.

One of your most important tasks is to facilitate for the people who visit us. Since many of the visitors have various types of disabilities, you may need to assist them with many different types of tasks. This is something you need to be prepared for and able to handle.

The working hours are scheduled, which includes day, evening, and weekend shifts. You will be employed part-time, but there will be great opportunities to take extra shifts.

Qualifications

For employment, you need to have a high school diploma or equivalent education that the employer deems comparable. If you have previously worked with people in a service-oriented environment, such as in a café, gym, or with cleaning services, we see this as a merit. Experience working with people with any type of disability is considered a significant plus.

You also have good IT skills and the ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish. It is advantageous if you have a B driver's license for a manual transmission vehicle.

To thrive in this role, we see that you are a service-oriented person who easily makes contact and builds relationships with our visitors. You are comfortable meeting and assisting people with different backgrounds. Furthermore, we want you to be flexible, resilient to stress, and have great patience. Enjoying teamwork and being a good ambassador is something you consider natural.

Since the work at Öresund Funkis takes place near the sea, you need to be able to swim to get a position with us, so you will have to undergo a swimming test if you proceed in the recruitment process.

About the Workplace

Öresund Funkis – the beach without barriers, is a meeting place by the sea that offers an accessibility-adapted beach environment. Throughout the summer season, the facility is filled with visitors who enjoy the beach, sun, and swimming. Öresund Funkis is part of the leisure administration's bathing and recreation unit. The unit also includes the baths Hylliebadet, Rosengårdsbadet, Simhallsbadet, Oxievångsbadet, as well as the recreational areas Bulltofta outdoor area and Torup's outdoor farm. The ambition is that the unit's activities together will offer the more than 800,000 Malmö residents who visit us annually a variety of activities and events. The hallmark of the employees working in the unit is the willingness and drive to create, develop, and realize an operation where the Malmö resident is in focus.
