In the main assignment Community, we work long-term and agile to shape a sustainable future for everyone who wants to live and develop in Ängelholm Municipality.

We stand for a high level of service and work with urban environment, detailed plans, building permits, environment, water and sewage, culture, leisure, and sports, as well as the executing organizations Intraprenad, Meal Service, and Local Cleaning Service. We have 450 employees and a turnover of 550 million in operations and 180 million in investments.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a temporary building inspector with a strong sense of responsibility for service to our residents and businesses in the municipality. It is also important that you are solution-oriented and engaged.

The assignment includes inspection within the building technical part of the building permit process as well as supervision according to the Planning and Building Act (PBL). You will work with the entire spectrum from smaller constructions to larger cases such as industries, multi-family houses, etc. This means that you will meet both self-builders and larger actors. You will also collaborate with other parts of the municipal organization to contribute with expertise regarding the unit's area of activity.

The assignment primarily includes the following tasks:

• Independently work with technical review in building permit and notification cases, lead consultations, conduct site visits, decide on start and final notifications, and to some extent decide on building permits.
• Write decisions and protocols and prepare and present cases in the Community Building Committee.
• Contribute to development and feedback of experiences.
• Collaborate with other authorities.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with an engineering degree with building technical competence.

You have good collaboration skills, are service-oriented, ambitious, driven, and well-organized.

You have good communication skills both orally and in writing and have good knowledge of Swedish and English.

You have good knowledge of current legislation in the area, primarily the Planning and Building Act and related regulations.

It is an advantage if you have experience of municipal decision-making processes and are used to working in a politically governed organization. Experience from the construction industry, background as a building permit officer, building inspector, responsible for control, or from consulting work is also advantageous.
