Emergency Coordinator
We are now looking for an emergency coordinator to work with operational emergency preparedness in Kristianstad Municipality. You will work on behalf of - and will be led by the municipality's security manager. As an emergency coordinator, you will work comprehensively for the municipality's emergency preparedness both towards staff and specific administrations or companies.

Your role with us
Your work involves initiating and coordinating operational emergency preparedness in the operations within the municipal group, focusing on the municipal executive office and the technical administration. This means that you will work broadly with civil defense, developing policies, risk and vulnerability analyses in this area, as well as coordinating these issues. Furthermore, you will work on building new working methods and processes and developing existing ones within the emergency preparedness area.
An important part of your work will be to provide ongoing support and guidance to the operations in the area, as well as planning, executing, and evaluating both training and exercises. Examples of tasks include developing the municipality's management capacity and being the contact person for voluntary defense organizations within the municipality's geographical area. The work involves varying working hours that may include evening shifts in consultation with your immediate supervisor.
You will represent the municipality externally in emergency preparedness issues and collaborate with other actors. In your role, you will also be part of the crisis management support when something extraordinary happens, which involves staff work and leadership in a crisis.
Who are we looking for?
You who are applying have post-secondary education in what the employer deems relevant to the work area, alternatively a high school education combined with experience in emergency preparedness work that can correspond to post-secondary education.
We want you to have experience in emergency preparedness work. It is advantageous if you have knowledge of public administration and how a municipality is organized and functions. If you also have knowledge of crisis preparedness from a municipal perspective, that is also an advantage.
You are good at communicating and can express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. Of course, you handle the Office package and other IT tools as a natural part of your daily work. A B driver's license is required so that you can easily get around our municipality.
To succeed in the role, you are good at creating and maintaining good relationships, both internally and externally. You collaborate well with people in different contexts and functions. Furthermore, you find it easy to communicate clearly and can hold presentations, lectures, and training but also have the ability to adapt to the needs of the target audience. You can plan and organize your work but also find it easy to set goals, organize resources, follow up, and complete activities.
The position is part of the war organization, and as part of the recruitment process, a security review will be conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act.

The Department of Protection and Security is currently one of three departments in the Rescue Service Administration responsible for, among other things, internal security (physical protection and personal safety), security protection, information security, protection of critical societal functions, crisis preparedness, planning for civil defense, and resilience. The department handles municipality-wide issues directly under the municipal director and the municipal council. The department is led by the municipality's security manager.
The Rescue Service in Kristianstad is responsible for operational and preventive activities within Kristianstad Municipality and, through agreements with Östra Göinge Municipality, coordinates work on protection and security in northeastern Skåne. The Rescue Service is under the Rescue Committee. The administration has about 80 employees distributed across three departments, and there are around 85 employees at the part-time stations. In Östra Göinge Municipality, there are two part-time stations with approximately 40 employees.
