The Kristianstad operational area is part of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's southern region and currently includes the Kristianstad prison, located about 10 km south of Kristianstad. Currently, the prison has about 145 inmates and 120 employees. We are undergoing a significant capacity increase, and there is much happening in the operational area in terms of renovations and new constructions. In a few years, the new Vä prison is expected to accommodate about 600 inmates and have 500 employees. The largest professional group is prison officers, but there are also healthcare professionals, administrative staff, educators, production leaders, etc.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a warehouse administrator, you will play an important support role for Kristianstad prison.

You will work with varied tasks, including both administration and some physical work.

Your tasks will include handling matters regarding inmates' personal belongings.

The work also involves tasks such as unpacking, searching, and registering inmates' belongings upon arrival, as well as issuing, packing, and delivering or sending clients' belongings during leave, transfers, or when an inmate is released.

Additionally, you will be responsible for requesting quotes according to framework agreements, invoice management, purchasing and handling of consumables, office supplies, clothing, etc., as well as inventory management and internal distribution within the prison.

QUALIFICATIONS

Your personal qualities are important. For the job, you need to understand the current regulations and security procedures to make well-founded assessments based on them. Since the work involves writing decisions, you must have good documentation skills, computer proficiency, and be meticulous and organized. You should be able to collaborate easily and be flexible.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Completed upper secondary education or other training combined with work experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant
  • Work experience, preferably from warehouse/storage work, security work, or case management
  • Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing
  • Good computer skills
  • Driving license B

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Knowledge in relevant areas, such as law or previous experience in decision-making in public administration
  • Experience from corrections or another part of the justice system
  • Experience in security work and security assessments
  • Forklift license
