Do you want to help create a wonderful and safe summer experience for the residents of the municipality?

At our two outdoor swimming pools – Svedala Outdoor Pool and Bara Bathing Lake – we welcome many visitors every summer who want to swim, socialize, and enjoy the summer. We are now looking for service-oriented lifeguards who want to contribute to a safe, pleasant, and welcoming environment for all our guests.

Mission

As a lifeguard, you are an important part of the operation and work to ensure quality, safety, and good service at our facilities. You are a visible and reassuring presence for visitors and help create a positive experience throughout the summer.

Your responsibilities include:

• Ensuring safety and supervision at pools and bathing areas.
• Providing service and support to visitors.
• Working with kiosk sales.
• Maintaining order and comfort at the facility.
• Communicating and ensuring that visitors follow the facility's rules.
• Cleaning and maintaining changing rooms, toilets, pools, green areas, and other areas.

Mandatory training days for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and work routines are included in the position and will take place on May 25 and 26.

Qualifications

As a lifeguard, you are a central part of the visitors' experience. You need to combine a safety mindset with a warm and service-oriented approach. The role suits you if you thrive in an active environment, enjoy collaborating, and have a knack for taking responsibility.

You will work both independently and with colleagues, and you are confident in making decisions related to safety and order when the situation requires it.

Requirements

• Good water skills and swimming ability.
• Service-oriented, attentive, and communicative.
• Able to collaborate with both colleagues and visitors.
• You must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to express yourself in spoken and written Swedish.
• You must be able to provide a current extract from the criminal record for school and childcare upon potential employment. The extract can be ordered via the Police's website: Police (https://polisen.se/tjanster-tillstand/belastningsregistret/skola-eller-forskola/).

Meritorious

• Training in lifeguarding, first aid, or CPR.
• Previous experience working at a swimming facility.

Working hours/duration

Employment period and start date by agreement during the period May 30 – August 30. Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends. Full-time and part-time positions as well as temporary positions as needed.
