We are now looking for an engaged and driven Safety and Security Coordinator who wants to play a central role in our work with safety, security, and crime prevention issues.

About the Role

As a Safety and Security Coordinator, you will have an important role in developing, coordinating, and following up on safety and security work in Höör Municipality. The work involves close collaboration with the municipality's operations, police, rescue services, civil society, and other external actors. The position is based on a systematic and knowledge-based approach.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your main responsibilities:

  • Drive and develop safety-creating and crime prevention work, supported by proven methods and current situational assessments.
  • Coordinate and lead collaboration between internal and external actors to strengthen preventive work.
  • Collect, analyze, and present data that creates situational assessments and follows up on the results of interventions.
  • Support and develop the municipality's work in crisis preparedness, civil preparedness, and security protection, including risk and vulnerability analyses.
  • Conduct training and information efforts to increase the organization's competence in the safety and security area.

Physical Protection and Perimeter Security

An important part of the assignment is also to:

  • Support the municipality's sectors in matters concerning physical security and perimeter protection, such as premises, facilities, and critical infrastructure.
  • Provide expert support in the selection, development, and procurement of perimeter protection solutions such as locking and access systems, alarms, video surveillance, and other technical protective measures. Participate in risk assessments and analyses related to physical protection.

The position entails broader responsibilities as we work in a team to support the municipality's various sectors with specialist knowledge. You will therefore need to contribute in other areas that the unit is responsible for, such as crisis preparedness and civil defense.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Relevant higher education in social sciences, security, criminology, law, or equivalent experience and education deemed equivalent.
  • Experience in safety, security, and crime prevention work.
  • Good analytical skills and the ability to translate analysis into practical and strategic work.
  • Good communication skills in both spoken and written form. Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with others.

As a person, you are structured, analytical, and meticulous.

Furthermore, you are relationship-building and collaborative, proactive, and confident in the role.

As a qualitative part of our recruitment process, we will conduct a background check, with the candidate's consent, on our final candidates. This may include checking personal information, financial conditions, and legal matters.

In this recruitment process, a security clearance will also be conducted on our final candidates according to the Security Protection Act.

OTHER

The position will be filled provided that the necessary political decisions are made and that it does not need to be allocated for internal use.
