We are currently seeking an independent and confident accounting consultant for a municipality north of Stockholm, who has experience working in municipal accounting.

The municipality has a need to strengthen the accounting unit over the year-end closing and during a vacancy until summer. We are looking for an independent senior accountant with experience in municipal accounting to support the work with the year-end closing according to municipal accounting law.

• Year-end closing

• Reconciliation of balance accounts

• Preparation of documentation for the annual report

• Preparation of information for the Financial Summary (RS)

• Quality assurance of RS documentation

• Reporting according to SCB's requirements

• Reconciliation of internal transactions within the municipal group

• Preparation of consolidated financial statements in the municipal group - Reconciliation and dialogue with municipal companies

The work is conducted in close dialogue with the accounting manager, accounting strategist, and other colleagues in the accounting unit.

• At least 5 years of experience in accounting work

• Documented experience in municipal accounting

• Experience in year-end closing and annual reports

• Experience in group accounting within a municipality or corporate group

• Good knowledge of municipal regulations such as:

• Municipal accounting law

• The Council for Municipal Accounting (RKR)

It is advantageous if you have;

• Experience in reporting RS

• Experience with the accounting system Raindance

A consulting assignment starting immediately and expected to last until 2026-05-31. The assignment is full-time 100%.
