EMPLOYMENT MARKET ADMINISTRATION

The Employment Market Administration has a broad area of responsibility that includes individual and family care, labor market initiatives, adult education, municipal activity responsibility, and integration. Our work is based on a holistic view, participation, and individual responsibility. Through our support, care, and treatment initiatives, we aim to strengthen people's ability to change and increase independence.

The administration consists of five units: Children and Family, Support and Treatment, Adults, Reception and Guidance, and Quality and Operational Support. We are in an exciting phase with many ongoing development initiatives, particularly in light of the new social services act.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Employment Market Administration is now focusing on strengthening the Reception and Guidance unit and is therefore looking for a social worker for a shared position: 50% Senior Social Worker and 50% Reception Social Worker.

This is a role for you who thrive in a position where you can take responsibility, support others, and at the same time work closely with our citizens in their first contact with social services. You will work with both children, young people, and adults in a role with breadth, development, and significant societal value. We are engaged in active development work in our new reception function, particularly related to the new social services act, which gives you the opportunity to help shape future working methods.

As a Senior Social Worker, you are an important support in the operational work. You lead daily operations and make decisions according to delegation, ensure quality in authority exercise, and keep yourself updated on current legislation and research while communicating relevant changes to colleagues. You guide in cases and support employees in complex assessments, introduce new hires together with the unit manager, mentor, and support staff, and have certain administrative tasks related to the role. You are involved in creating and maintaining processes and routines in daily work. In close collaboration with the unit manager, you will follow up on the unit's goals and results and drive the unit's development forward.

As a Reception Social Worker, you are often the first contact our citizens and partners have with us. You guide and refer to the right functions and caseworkers, answer questions, and provide advice to parents, youth, schools, and the region. You work closely with colleagues in the reception, receive reports, conduct preliminary assessments, and assess whether an investigation should be initiated.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and experience in authority exercise, particularly with children and youth. You should therefore have very good knowledge of current legislation and case handling. It is important that you have experience and knowledge in BBIC. We also want you to have previous experience in driving quality work.

It is an advantage if you have experience in:

• authority exercise in adults, domestic violence, and harmful use
• reception work
• Lifecare
• working with emergency housing
• assessing protection needs
• leading or guiding others
• Signs of Safety.

The position of Senior Social Worker requires that you have a good ability to plan and prioritize and follow up on your work as well as ensure that tasks are completed and feedback is provided on time. You need to have a B driver's license and experience driving a car.
