Your role with us

Frostagatan is an LSS residence for individuals with mental disabilities, featuring 12 apartments designed according to the needs of the target group. Staff work around the clock to support individuals in their daily lives and leisure activities. The position involves a mix of day/evening/weekend shifts. Our clients have a significant need for care and require support based on their mental disabilities.

The work involves providing individually tailored support through supportive and motivational conversations as well as care work. The assignment includes developing and maintaining clients' abilities considering their disabilities and supporting their participation in leisure and cultural activities.

Furthermore, it includes promoting clients' participation at the individual, group, and community levels while safeguarding self-determination and personal integrity. The work also encompasses responsibility for social documentation according to current guidelines.

You will perform medical tasks delegated by a nurse and physiotherapist or assist clients with self-care. In the role of contact person, you will be responsible for ensuring that implementation plans are established and followed up.

Who are we looking for?

You who apply have completed a care and nursing program with a focus on psychiatry or disabilities, alternatively a child and leisure program with a focus on social work, or educational work or other education that the employer finds equivalent. Being confident in your role and able to work independently with clients is a prerequisite for the position. Having good experience in care work is an advantage.

If you have experience working with individuals with disabilities, it is meritorious. We prefer that you have knowledge of mental disabilities and how they affect people's daily lives. Additionally, experience working with individuals with challenging behavior and knowledge of low-arousal approaches is an advantage. Experience with autism and clear pedagogical methods is also meritorious.

We want you to have good collaboration skills, be flexible, able to make independent decisions, maintain a professional attitude, be stress-resistant, and able to perform work on behalf of others. Since communication and documentation are part of the job, you must be able to handle the Swedish language in both speech and writing. Experience working independently with social documentation, being a contact person, record-keeping, and implementation plans is meritorious, as is knowledge of IBIC. We also appreciate knowledge and interest in digital solutions. The work requires a B driver's license for a car with automatic transmission.

The operations of the Care Administration are aimed at the elderly and individuals who need functional support as well as those requiring home healthcare. The operations are functionally divided into four areas: support in ordinary housing, support in care and nursing homes, health and medical care, and functional support. The administration also includes the authority unit, the national gymnasium, and the assistive technology center in Eastern Skåne.
