Personal assistance is an intervention according to LSS (The Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to individuals who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Each client is unique, and your tasks vary based on the client's needs. You uphold the client's self-determination and integrity, and contribute to a smooth everyday life.

About the position

The role of a personal assistant requires a high ability to create good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is committed and responsible. It is also important that you can take your own initiatives and see what needs to be done.

Our client has severe disabilities and epilepsy and needs help with everything and constant supervision. As an assistant, you will need to handle tube feeding, medication, and inhalations. The client has no communication and enjoys toys with light and sound, music, and likes to have people around her. She also enjoys outings. She is a happy and content girl. The workplace will primarily be in the family's home in Simrishamn. We are looking for an assistant who is calm and secure. It is also important that you are attentive and have a responsible and involving approach.We are now looking for someone who meets the following:

• wants to work with an 18-year-old girl living in Simrishamn
• has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• has previous experience in similar work or other work in care
• has good physical health
• is non-smoker

It is also an advantage if you:

• have previous experience working with epilepsy
• have a B driver's license and access to a car

Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

Working hours, employment rate, and salary:

The current employment form is "As long as the assistance assignment lasts" and the position is about 30%. The job involves working during the day, evening, and night on weekdays and weekends. The night shifts are active nights, and the day shifts mainly occur on weekends. Currently, there are about 3 night shifts per month and about 20 hours per month during the day. The position may be expanded in the future.

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other compensations are in accordance with collective agreements.

Start date

Immediately or according to agreement.

A prerequisite for starting employment with us at Humana is that you can present valid ID and any documents that confirm your right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.
