A group home is a home for those who need support and service around the clock. The individual apartment is directly connected to common areas where residents can socialize with others and eat together.

The Disability Care department is seeking a new employee for Gonarps group home located in the picturesque Näsum. The group home is beautifully situated in a rural environment and consists of six apartments as well as a common area and a staff apartment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In this position, you may encounter situations where threatening behavior or violence occurs. It is therefore important that you feel secure in handling such situations in a professional and calm manner. We are looking for someone who has the ability to maintain focus and make decisions under pressure, and who can meet individuals with respect even in challenging situations. Experience working in environments where threats and violence occur is an advantage.

At Gonarps group home, we work based on a low-arousal approach with a strong focus on clarifying pedagogy. It is important for us that you are comfortable taking on significant responsibility in your work with a large dose of common sense. You should strive to develop a safe everyday life for our users together with your colleagues, and it is therefore important that you can see the user's perspective and adapt your working methods accordingly.

QUALIFICATIONS

We want you to be a trained support assistant. Advantageous is education as a support pedagogue, social pedagogue, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. We would like you to have experience with low-arousal approaches, NPF, EIPS, self-harming behavior, and communication support.

You have a good reception, are responsible, easily collaborate, and are flexible in your work. You are a team player who values collaboration and open dialogue. In new, mixed groups, you stand firm, contribute calmness and clarity, and help build a safe and positive work environment. It is important to be able to work both independently and in a group, to follow routines, decisions, and action plans with the users' best interests in focus.

Since documentation is part of the job, you need good communication skills, computer proficiency, and you should master the Swedish language in both speech and writing. Personal suitability is of great importance.

Solo work as well as day, evening, on-call, and weekend shifts are included in the position.
