JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Daily activities are an initiative according to LSS that offers meaningful employment, development, and social community based on each participant's needs and wishes.

We are looking for an employee for a temporary position in the carpentry workshop at daily activities, Hjalmar Brantings väg. The operation is large and has several focuses, including gardening/fixing, creative reuse, and carpentry.

As a supervisor, you will work both in groups and individually. You will be proactive in creating participation and independence for the participants. In the role of support assistant/support educator, you will work with a pedagogical approach, planning and implementing support measures and activities that promote the participants' development.

We work solution-focused and strive to inspire participants to an active everyday life. The work requires collaboration with colleagues, residential staff, and other professionals. The operation is dynamic, which means that groups and assignments may vary depending on the participants' needs. You are expected to contribute with expertise and be proactive in method and quality development.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school education in the nursing program or child and leisure.
• Preferably post-secondary education, vocational school, or university education with a focus on the disability area.
• Experience working in the disability field.
• Interest and knowledge in woodworking/carpentry and experience in practical carpentry work.
• Pedagogical ability and patience to guide both in carpentry work and in social situations.
• Ability to adapt responses based on individual needs.
• Meritorious: knowledge of low-affect responses.
• Confident in the role of supervisor, professional and engaged.
• Good collaboration skills and experience in planning and structuring activities together with colleagues.
• Computer skills (documentation is done in Lifecare).
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Driver's license is desirable.
