Crime Prevention Coordinator Wanted in Svedala Municipality

Mission

As of July 1, 2025, the social services will have a clarified responsibility for crime prevention work. Svedala Municipality is now taking an active step forward and is seeking a Crime Prevention Coordinator who wants to help develop a safety-creating effort through clear presence in everyday life. The position is aimed at those who want to work closely with children, youth, and adults at risk and who thrive in an operational role where collaboration, relationships, and concrete actions are at the center.

As a Crime Prevention Coordinator, you will be placed within the individual and family care services and work proactively to prevent norm-breaking behaviors, crime, and recidivism for all ages. The mission largely involves being out in operations, meeting professionals, children, and youth, and building trusting relationships with internal and external partners. You contribute to creating a common direction and a cohesive approach in the municipality's crime prevention work.

Here, you will map the current situation, identify needs and areas for development, and lead and coordinate the SSPF collaboration (School – Social Services – Police – Leisure) including youngster and top five conversations. The work also involves investigating young people's digital lives, online harassment, and risk behaviors, as well as carrying out information campaigns regarding drugs and crime.

An important part of the mission is also to contribute to the municipality's situational awareness work by mapping risks and needs to plan effective crime prevention measures together with the police.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another relevant higher education that the employer assesses as equivalent. Furthermore, you have several years of experience in social work with children and youth where you have worked preventively in collaboration with other professionals.

You are comfortable working proactively, have an easy time building trust, and enjoy being a link between different operations. For the mission, it is important to have good analytical skills where you succeed in creating structure in a complex context. With a focus on long-term goals, you work independently and translate analysis into concrete actions. A driving license (B) is a requirement.

It is advantageous if you have experience in crime prevention work, project management, or other coordination assignments. Familiarity with relevant legislation is also seen as a benefit. Similarly, it is beneficial if you have previously worked within municipal operations.

Working Hours/Duration

Permanent full-time employment.
