Welcome to take your place on the journey!

The Mission of the Social Administration

The mission of the Social Administration is to work with social services and provide support so that everyone in the municipality feels safe and has the same opportunities in life. We want everyone to be able to be active and participate in society. With a focus on respect for the individual's right to decide over their own life, we are responsible for three important areas: care and support, assistance for people with disabilities, and help for individuals and families. Our goal is for everyone to receive the support and care they need.

The Workplace

Within the department for support services, there are several group homes, daily activities, children and youth residences, as well as short-term and leisure activities according to LSS.

For the particularly resource-intensive part of daily activities, we are now looking for you who, in the role of support assistant, creates meaningful engagement for the users participating in daily activities. We meet adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism or acquired brain injury of working age who are not employed or studying.

We are now looking for someone who wants to work within daily activities and the resource-intensive unit. We have two facilities; one in Anderslöv and one in Trelleborg - you are expected to work in both facilities.

Job Responsibilities

As a support assistant in daily activities, your task is to create meaningful engagement based on the individual's own wishes and needs, where you guide and activate the users. The mission focuses on strengthening the individual's ability to become more independent.

You will work to map resources and skills of the user with a strong focus on increasing or maintaining their independence and participation in society. The work involves establishing implementation plans together with users, performing activities, and following up to ensure that the efforts continue according to the implementation plan. We work based on clarifying pedagogy that aims to make the world as clear and predictable as possible for the individual.

Threats and violence may arise, which means that you are expected to work in a low-affect manner and adapt your approach based on the user's needs and issues. You work from a solution-focused perspective and need to handle unforeseen events calmly and safely.

As a support assistant, you are expected to be an engaged and driven person, who cares about the individual's independence, self-determination, and creating a functioning and positive everyday life for the individual. The work includes a lot of physical activities such as walking and cycling.
