JOB DUTIES

We are looking for summer substitutes for:

  • Group homes
  • Short-term care/supervision for children
  • Service housing
  • Personal assistance

Together with your work team, you are responsible for providing good and safe care as well as planning and implementing activities. Regular documentation is included in your tasks according to the municipality's guidelines. The work involves irregular hours on weekdays/weekends and on-call duty (sleeping night).

You who are applying should be interested in working with people with disabilities.

The work teams vary in size, but in all jobs, it involves more or less solitary work.

In our working method, we start from a low-arousal approach.

All workplaces include care work, medication management, and creating meaning in our users' lives.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a strong interest in working with people with disabilities. It is an advantage if you are educated in the following:

  • Child and leisure program with a focus on social work or educational work
  • Care program with specialization in 'disability' or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
  • Ongoing university studies to become a nurse, social worker, psychologist, or other education in healthcare.

Other merits:

  • Trained leisure educator, leisure leader, social educator, or other pedagogical education.

You should have good basic IT skills.

We place great emphasis on your experience working with people with disabilities within LSS or with other care work.

Furthermore, you have good collaboration skills, a positive attitude, and good interpersonal skills. You have good communication skills in both speech and writing.

A driver's license is desirable and in some workplaces a requirement.

OTHER

There is an opportunity to combine the job with being a part-time firefighter. Assessment is made based on the needs of the operation.
