Vivacare AB is seeking a Unit Manager for a Residential Care Facility (HVB)

Vivacare provides 24-hour residential care for boys aged 13–17. Our goal is to create a safe, supportive, and developmental environment where every young person receives individually tailored support based on their needs and circumstances. Through treatment interventions, daily support, and social training, we work to strengthen self-confidence, independence, and social skills. We also encourage participation in activities such as sports, leisure activities, and daily chores.

We are now looking for a driven, competent, and engaged Unit Manager for our operation. You will play a central role in leading, developing, and ensuring the quality of the operation together with management and staff.

We are looking for someone who is a clear, secure, and empathetic leader with the ability to inspire and build trust with both young people and staff. You are confident in decision-making while remaining open to others' opinions and leveraging your staff's competence. You are accustomed to taking personal responsibility, planning your work, and driving the operation forward, with a good knowledge of the laws and regulations governing residential care facilities.

In this role, you are responsible for staff, work environment, operational quality, and documentation, as well as leading the unit towards set goals. You are responsible for developing clear routines, anchoring and implementing decisions, and regularly following up on operations. The work also involves working closely with the young people and promoting their development. Your tasks will include, among others:

• leading the work in the operation and being a present support for the staff
• collaborating in the planning of admissions, treatment interventions, and discharge
• maintaining contact with social services, guardians, child and adolescent psychiatry (BUP), schools, and other partners
• ensuring documentation and record-keeping
• acting as a support and supervisor for the treatment staff
• participating in systematic work environment work and ensuring a safe physical environment
• participating in meetings, forums, and joint training initiatives

About you

• degree in social work
• experience as a leader with personnel responsibility
• experience working in residential care facilities and/or social services
• interest in organizational development as well as change and quality assurance work
• Class B driver's license
