Personal assistance is a service provided under the LSS Act (Act on Support and Service for Certain Persons with Impairments). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to persons who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Every client is unique, and your tasks vary based on the client's needs. You uphold the client's self-determination and integrity, contributing to a smooth daily routine.

About the position

The role of a personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. We are therefore looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take your own initiatives and identify what needs to be done.

Our client is a young man in his 20s who lives with his family in Tygelsjö. There is also a dog in the home. He is looking for an assistant who is good at communicating and can provide sign language interpretation for him. Since he does not have a spoken language, you as an assistant must also interpret what he wants or wishes to convey.

In his free time, he enjoys activities such as exercising, bathing, swimming, and being out in nature.

We are now looking for you who meet the following criteria:

• Have a B-class driver's license as you will drive the client's car.
• Have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Have good physical fitness.
• Are able to swim.
• Are comfortable with pets as there is a dog in the client's home.
• Are non-smoking.

It is also an advantage if you:

• Have previous experience working with persons with autism and persons with visual impairments.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability, and our client prefers male applicants.

Working hours, employment level, and salary:

The current employment form is "hourly employment," which means work as needed with varying working hours during the day and evening on weekdays and weekends. Working hours are 07:30–17:30 and 09:30–21:00.

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement, and other compensation is made according to collective agreements.
