The Social Administration in Örkelljunga municipality consists of social services, elderly care, municipal health and medical care, care for the disabled, and preventive functions. We are organized into a preventive unit, a supervisory unit, and an execution unit. Our guiding principle is teamwork, utilizing the strength of a small municipality to work closely together in short decision-making paths for an efficient organization and a service-oriented perspective.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for someone who wants a rewarding and developing job. In the role of an employee within housing with special services, you have the opportunity to contribute to ensuring that our users can achieve the highest possible quality of life in their daily lives. Based on individual needs and wishes, you support our users by providing practical and everyday assistance.
You collaborate with other colleagues in the everyday work with users in their daily activities. In a pedagogical manner, you stimulate and motivate the individual towards participation and an independent life. The assignment also includes documentation work in our system Life Care. You assist users with everyday activities such as household chores, personal care, and leisure activities.
Your tasks also include assistance with transfers, medication distribution, handling physical and digital aids, and performing delegated and prescribed interventions according to the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL).
In addition to the tasks included in your job description, you may also have extended responsibilities in a specific area, e.g., fire safety representative, hygiene representative, supervisor, etc.
Your knowledge and experience are valuable, therefore it is part of your role to contribute to the development of our common working methods. We are flexible, and if necessary, you may also work in other units.
The employer offers ongoing training and supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a high school education and approved grades from the health and care program or the child and leisure program, or other equivalent education. It is a plus if you have knowledge of conversation techniques, such as motivational interviewing (MI), social stories, or drawing conversations. Experience with challenging behavior, clear pedagogical methods, low-arousal responses, and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) is also meritorious.
As a person, you are calm and secure and have a respectful, good, and adapted approach. To succeed in the role, we see that you have good collaboration skills, are solution-focused, and can easily adapt to new conditions. To thrive in the role, we believe that you have the ability to take personal responsibility in your professional role, are proactive, and are used to working independently.
In this role, it is important that you can communicate verbally and in writing in Swedish and English since you and the user need to understand each other, but also to carry out documentation. You have computer skills and preferably experience with social documentation.
