Ängen Servicebostad LSS is looking for an engaged support pedagog who, together with users and colleagues, wants to work to develop the operations. Ängen is a service residence with 10 housing units located in central Båstad.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a support pedagog at Ängen, you will work to advance the pedagogical work. You will use your expertise to develop pedagogical solutions together with users and colleagues. You will also use your expertise to support your colleagues in methods and planning of daily work.

As a support pedagog at Ängen, you collaborate with other support pedagogs in our operations within LSS and method supporters, as well as other external actors.

The working hours are scheduled for both day and evening, as well as every other weekend. The work also involves on-call duties. You will work together with your colleagues in the daily work with the users, but some time is specifically allocated to the support pedagog work.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a vocational education as a support pedagog, or other vocational/higher education that the employer considers equivalent and relevant for the position.

For the position, it is required that you have previous experience of working within LSS and that you have experience working with intellectual disabilities and autism, as well as care work. It is an advantage if you have previously worked in a service residence.

As a support pedagog at Ängen, you need to work in a low-arousal manner, have patience, and have a strong commitment to our target group. You need to be able to collaborate and build trust with both users and your colleagues, as well as set clear professional boundaries. Additional training in alternative and augmentative communication, low-arousal approaches, and methods such as conversation mats is advantageous.
