Kooperativet Hand i Hand is a member-driven organization established in 1995 for individuals entitled to assistance. Our members are located in Skåne, Halland, southern Småland, Västra Götaland, Stockholm, and Jämtland. We have offices in Halmstad, Hässleholm, and Malmö. We support our members with everything from applying for hours with Försäkringskassan/the municipality to personnel issues regarding personal assistants. We believe that the work of a personal assistant is one of the most important jobs as it provides an opportunity for another person, an opportunity that allows them to live their life like everyone else.

I am an energetic, social 12-year-old girl living with my parents and younger brother on a farm in Farstorp.

During the day, I go to school, and otherwise, I feel best at home. I enjoy playing with toys and I am very imaginative. I also love being outdoors and riding my cargo bike.

Since I have limited communication and may have difficulty expressing what I want, you need to be attentive, patient, and curious to understand me and my expressions. I have a neurological seizure disorder and epilepsy, and I experience different types of seizures. Therefore, I need you close by at all times, ready to support me if I need it.

It is an advantage if you are physically strong as I sometimes need help with transfers. You also need to be smoke-free and speak fluent Swedish so that we can understand each other.

It is important to me that you have a genuine commitment to working with people, that you are confident in yourself, and that you see the assignment as long-term. Experience is a merit but not a requirement. The most important thing for me is that we enjoy being together!

Since we live in the countryside, you need to have a driver's license and access to a car.

Positions:

Hourly substitute, varied shifts on weekdays from 14:00 to 19:30 and weekends around 09:00 to 19:30, with the possibility of shorter shifts. During school holidays and summer, there is an opportunity to work more, even during the day.
