Department of Individual and Family Services

At the family law department, four employees are now looking for a substitute for a colleague who is planning parental leave.

The unit also includes a workgroup that works with foster care and a workgroup that works with family counseling. The foster care and family law unit in Trelleborg is one of five units in Individual and Family Services, which also includes the reception and investigation unit for ages 0-20, the advice and support unit, the preventive unit, and the dependency and adult unit.

Job Responsibilities

As a family law secretary, you will work with assignments within the family law area. Your work will include holding collaboration talks, writing statements and investigations on behalf of the district court in cases concerning custody, residence, and visitation, as well as working with parenting and adoption investigations.

A large part of the work is investigative and takes place through conversations with children and parents, as well as subsequent documentation. You will also lead collaboration talks – a voluntary non-needs-tested initiative for parents who need support in reaching agreements on issues concerning their children. In this role, you will act as a conversation leader and contribute to finding sustainable solutions for the child's best interest.

In your work, you will meet both children and parents in often sensitive family situations, and you will need to use both your communicative and analytical skills.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Degree in Social Work
• At least three years of experience in social work with children
• Very good Swedish in speech and writing
• Driving license B

Meritorious:

• Experience in family law investigative work
• Experience in leading collaboration talks
