What does the job as an activity coach at Frösunda entail?As an activity coach within daily operations, you support individuals who have been granted assistance under the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS). This may include physical, mental, or intellectual disabilities. The content of daily operations is based on activities that should contribute to increased social skills training.
As an activity coach, you provide pedagogical support and care to promote our clients' abilities and independence. You plan, prepare, and guide based on each individual's needs. This may involve providing support in social activities, during meals, and with hygiene routines.
As an activity coach, you work with various communication tools such as alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) and digital aids. The job also involves documenting the client's development and needs to follow up and ensure that each participant receives the right support and assistance.
Examples of job tasks:
Develop and lead activities for our participants
Support during meals, social activities, etc.
Documentation and reporting
Personal care such as hygiene, toilet visits, support, and social presence
The working hours for daily operations are during office hours.
About Aktivitetscentrum
Aktivitetscentrum is a daily operation for individuals within person circle 1, focusing on communication, joy of movement, music, and creativity. Our vision is to create concerts and performances.
Our bright, fantastic premises of 550 sqm are fully accessible and designed to meet the needs of our participants. We offer a clearly communicative physical environment that encourages communication, interaction, and community.
In our music room, we work together with singing and music. There is access to various musical instruments that inspire sounds of different kinds. In our movement room, we practice dance and choreography for our performances, but we also offer other types of group training to create joy of movement, such as circuit and strength training, yoga, etc. In our art studio, creativity flows. Here we also create props for our performances.
We are looking for staff who enjoy being in a social context where they can contribute with their positive, encouraging attitude and help build community and self-esteem for our participants. With us, you also get to help shape the operations over time based on your own, your colleagues', and our participants' strengths, abilities, and interests. We want to create engagement, a sense of belonging, and that we are all significant for the development of the operations.
Who are we looking for?We are looking for someone with a big heart and a desire to make a difference. We hope you enjoy working with people and have a strong sense of service. You easily collaborate with others and have the ability to be flexible and attentive when needed.
We prefer that you have education in Care and Nursing, Child and Leisure Program - focusing on social work, aesthetic program, or other music education.
It is highly meritorious if you have previous experience working with LSS and have care experience.
Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment (substitute) during the period 260302-260831 + substitute as needed
Extent: approx. 50%
Start date: 260302
We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
