Your role with us

In your work, you will be a support for individuals with mental disabilities. Staff here work to support individuals in their daily lives and leisure activities. Our clients have a significant need for support due to their mental health issues, but sometimes also due to physical disabilities. Our goal is for our clients to feel safe and to be met according to their circumstances, needs, and wishes.

The tasks mainly consist of providing our clients with individual support, developing and maintaining abilities and communication considering their disabilities. You will support clients' participation in leisure and cultural activities, participation at all different levels, individual, group, and community level, as well as self-determination and personal integrity.

You will be a contact person, and in this role, you are responsible for ensuring that the implementation plan is established and followed up. Furthermore, you are responsible for social documentation according to current guidelines. If necessary, you will perform medical tasks delegated by a nurse or assist the client with self-care. Care work may occur.

Within Social Psychiatry, we have a flexible working method, which means we are there where our clients need us; this means that the entire Social Psychiatry will be your workplace. We work according to the SoL legislation with a focus on social psychiatry. We provide services during the day, evening, night, and weekends. We are looking for someone who enjoys challenges and has a strong drive. The operation will also have short-term placements, which means a rotation between clients.

We are now looking for 5 employees: 3 for day/evening and 2 for night shifts. We will call for interviews continuously, so do not wait with your application!

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with a recognized education from the child and leisure program with a focus on social work or pedagogical work, alternatively the health and care program with a vocational outcome in healthcare or dementia care, or other education that the employer finds equivalent. Experience working with people with disabilities is meritorious, as well as good knowledge and experience in psychiatry and mental health.

You need to be able to work independently with the client, handle clients with outwardly aggressive behavior, and have knowledge/experience of working with low-arousal responses and clarifying pedagogy.

Since the job requires communication and documentation, we expect you to be computer literate and proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written. An interest in digital work tools is meritorious. You need to be able to cycle.

We work together as a team, and therefore it is important to work unpretentiously and in a structured manner. We prefer that you have a broad competence in psychiatry and an interest in this area. An important quality we are looking for is the ability to acquire new knowledge and apply it in your work. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

You have a professional attitude and good collaboration skills, are stress-resistant, flexible, and find solutions in everyday life. You can make independent decisions while also having the ability to respect decisions made and carry out work on behalf of others. You are comfortable working alone and can work both independently and together with colleagues.

The Care Administration's operations are aimed at the elderly and individuals who need support as well as those requiring home healthcare. The operations are functionally divided into four areas: support in ordinary housing, support in care and nursing homes, health and medical care, and functional support. The administration also includes the authority unit, the national gymnasium, and the aids center in Eastern Skåne.
