About the workplace

Kurera Omsorg is looking for personal assistants for hourly substitutes for a lovely, cheerful, and active woman in Malmö.

As the client requires assistance throughout the day, shifts are scheduled during the day, evening, and night. The client also has double staffing for a large part of the day.

There are 3 different shifts in a 24-hour period and the working hours are: 1. 08:45-17:30, 2. 13:00-22:00, 3. 21:00-12:00. (on-call at night)

The workplace is located in Malmö and has good and close bus connections.

The Client

The client is a 59-year-old woman who loves music, values beauty, and expresses it by enjoying painting her nails, applying makeup, coloring her hair, and taking care of her skin with meticulous facial care. The client enjoys being active and exploring various activities and places when she is out. She wants to go out at least once a day and enjoys attending concerts whenever possible.

She has a large family that is very close to her, so visits from relatives occur frequently.

In 2003, the client suffered a severe stroke that left her in a coma for many months. This greatly affected her speech, vision, and physical abilities. She is paralyzed on the left side of her body and therefore uses a wheelchair. Since her speech has been significantly affected, it can be difficult to understand her. Her stroke also caused chewing and swallowing difficulties, which means that assistants must be especially careful and attentive when the client eats.

The client has a ceiling lift at home in both the living room and bedroom, as well as a new tipping board that the staff uses.

Job Responsibilities

As a personal assistant, you will help with the tasks the client cannot manage on her own in daily life. This includes household chores, personal hygiene, exercise, doctor visits, and leisure activities. Working as a personal assistant requires maturity and the ability to empathize with another person's situation.

The client likes to have a clean and fresh environment around her and at home. There are clear cleaning routines at the workplace that the client has helped to develop, which are important to follow.

You need to have a high work ethic, be meticulous, and have an eye for detail. You should be able to write and speak fluent Swedish.

You need to be focused and attentive during your shift. It is important that you can distinguish between personal and work life. The client prefers someone between 35-50 years old and would like to have only women. Experience in the assistance profession or education in healthcare is an advantage.
