Your role with us
In your work, you will be a support for individuals with mental disabilities. Staff here support individuals in their daily lives and leisure activities. Our clients have a significant need for support due to their mental health issues, but sometimes also due to physical disabilities. Our goal is for our clients to feel safe and be met based on their conditions, needs, and wishes.
Like other employees, you will participate in the daily tasks at the accommodation. As a Support Pedagogue, you will be part of the team, contributing your knowledge and expertise regarding various working methods in customer-facing work. From a customer perspective, you will work with values and quality that promote the customer's participation, self-determination, and integrity.
You have knowledge and can guide colleagues in writing and updating implementation plans. Your work will include continuously updating yourself on pedagogical, evidence-based knowledge and informing the workgroup about this. Searching, sorting, gathering, and disseminating facts, information, and new findings relevant to customer-facing work is also part of the job. Working systematically on pedagogical issues is of great importance.
Within Social Psychiatry, we have a flexible working method, which means that we are there where our clients need us; this means that the entire Social Psychiatry will be your workplace. We support each other and find this working method incredibly competence-developing! It also contributes to increased engagement, cohesion, and job satisfaction!
We work according to the SoL legislation with a focus on social psychiatry. We provide services during the day, evening, night, and weekends. We are looking for someone who enjoys challenges and has a strong drive. The operation will also have short-term placements, which means a rotation between clients.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with post-secondary specialization in the disability area that includes at least 200 YH points or 60 higher education credits. The education should have a clear focus on the disability area in its entirety. You have experience working with people with disabilities, and we prefer that you have good knowledge of psychiatry. Furthermore, you should have good knowledge and experience of both intellectual and neuropsychiatric disabilities, as well as experience with clear pedagogical methods/TEACCH and low-arousal approaches.
Since the work involves communication and documentation, we expect you to be computer literate and proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written. It is an advantage if you have experience with social documentation. You need to be able to cycle.
We will work together as a team, and therefore it is important to work without prestige and in a structured manner. We prefer that you have a broad competence in psychiatry and an interest in this area. An important quality we are looking for is the ability to acquire new knowledge and apply it in your work. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
As a person, you are socially competent and have good collaboration skills. You are resilient, flexible, find solutions in everyday life, and have a professional approach towards everyone you meet in your work. Furthermore, you have the ability to plan and structure your work from a holistic perspective. The work requires you to respect decisions made and execute tasks on behalf of others. You can work both independently and together with colleagues.

The Social Care Administration's operations are aimed at the elderly and individuals who need support services, as well as those in need of home healthcare. The operations are functionally divided into four areas: support in ordinary housing, support in care and nursing homes, health and medical care, and support services. The administration also includes the authority unit, national high school, and assistive technology center in Eastern Skåne.
